Role Purpose

Provide services to Momentum Investments and the wider MMI Group whereby valid, accurate and timeous business information is generated. This information must be reported on according to stakeholder's requirements that drive business decision making, operational excellence, business performance and service excellence.
Requirements
- A relevant BCom Accounting
- 0-2 years’ accounting experience with exposure in and an understanding of accounting processes, concepts, and finance data analysis
- Experience automating accounting processes is preferable
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design and development, data mining and business intelligence techniques
- Experience with automating though PowerApps and Microsoft flow is preferable
- Experience with business process analysis is preferable
- Previous experience in the financial industry will be advantageous
- Previous experience in the Service environment will be advantageous
- Good understanding of Agile project principles (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) will be advantageous
- Experience in a mainstream reporting product suite (e.g., Microsoft, Cognos, Micro-strategy, Business Objects, etc) will be advantageous
- Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Duties & Responsibilities

**Business Intelligence**:

- Proactively analyse and develop an understanding of the data to gain valuable business insight
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and develop new areas for reporting or analysis
- Build prototypes to test business logic or visualisations and rapidly create context for new BI solutions
- Identify data quality issues and develop appropriate quality measures to track resolution progress

**Reporting**:

- Develop an understanding of the existing reports and BI solutions that are available
- Guide users in finding the most appropriate solution as well as providing context by highlighting how to use them correctly
- Deliver on ad-hoc reporting, data requests and analysis from business according to agreed priorities
