The Apple Authorised Education Specialist certification is the highest education category awarded by Apple to education partners. With this certification, comes the expectations and demands to deliver on Apple’s education vision and targets.
**iStore Education is looking for a strong commercial leader to manage the growth of this critical area of the iStore business.** The role includes leadership of sales team as well as personally be actively involved in the closing of sales.
**About The Role**:
**Overall Description**
You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with decision makers, and directly engaging with these clients on a regular basis to deliver sales objectives.
The iStore Education team is accountable for implementing and running Apple education programmes, forecasting, and strong focus on sales and development activities to achieve agreed objectives and targets.
You are responsible for driving growth and top-line revenue. You solve technical and business problems and ensure success for both iStore Education and its customers working alongside extended Apple and iStore teams
**Key Responsibilities**:
You will:
- Lead the entire sales/buying process, including market segment planning, target identification, solution development/presentation, opportunity management, negotiations and closing
- develop business plans and tactics to achieve targets
- build strong, influential and collaborative business relationships with various stakeholders
- drive your own and business unit sales targets
- provide sales consulting on the integration and implementation of Apple products
- provide direction to the sales team. Establish performance measurements, track performance against those measurements and provide constructive feedback
- work closely with Apple country and Core Distributor team
- perform all personnel management activities for staff including recruitment, training, performance evaluation and salary management; supports professional development through job assignments and training
- Be an active and public presence in the edtech industry
- Generate new leads and opportunities,
- Accurately capture and report all aspects of account and opportunity information within our CRM
- Working with internal teams - Marketing, Legal, Pricing, Finance, Retail
**Key Skills and Attributes**
- Understanding how business financials work, and strategies for sustaining profitable growth
- Strong team management. Excellent personal communication with ability to build and develop relations internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives and targets. Proven sales management and leadership skills, coupled with strong eye for business.

- Creativity in proposing new and different solutions
- Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently and within ambiguity.
- Well organised & Hands-on Mentality
- Excellent presentation skills.
- High level of energy and flexibility.
**Required Experience and Qualifications**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 10+ years proven sales /commercial experience working in a relevant industry domain
- Experience managing teams
**This role is BASED in Sandton Gauteng**
**The individual must be able to travel
