Position Summary

Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & Quotations
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates for insurance claims
- Calculate costs for parts, labour, and materials required for vehicle repairs
- Use industry-standard costing software and databases (e.g., Audatex, Mitchell, or similar)
- Research and source competitive pricing for parts and materials
- Ensure all estimates comply with insurance company requirements and guidelines

Insurance Administration
- Liaise with insurance assessors, adjusters, and claims handlers
- Submit quotations and supporting documentation to insurance companies
- Follow up on quote approvals and negotiate costs when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all insurance correspondence and approvals
- Process insurance authorizations and ensure compliance with claim procedures

Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain comprehensive job files with all relevant documentation
- Update costing systems with current labour rates and parts pricing
- Prepare detailed breakdowns of repair costs for customers and insurers
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and company standards
- Generate reports on costing activities and claim statuses

Customer Service
- Communicate with customers regarding repair costs and insurance processes
- Explain estimate details and repair procedures to vehicle owners
- Coordinate with workshop staff to ensure accurate job specifications
- Handle customer queries related to insurance claims and costs

Required Qualifications & SkillsEssential Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in automotive costing or insurance claims
- Proficiency in costing software (Audatex, Mitchell, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle parts, repair procedures, and labour times
- Experience working with insurance companies and assessors
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with automotive parts catalogues and pricing systems
- Understanding of insurance claim processes and procedures
- Basic knowledge of vehicle construction and repair methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and repair manuals

Working Conditions

Salary & Benefits
- **Salary**: R12,000 - R15,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications
