**Job Advert Summary**:
The Mechanical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Mechanical Technician and Artisan on the following work: Minor mechanical repairs, carrying of tools, to clean up workshops. Conducting mechanical inspections and report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor and/or artisan.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or N3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- N6 in Mechanical Engineering will be advantages.
- Knowledge of Mechanical tools and equipment’s.
- Ability to do minor mechanical repairs.
- Mechanical Trade Test will be advantageous
- Knowledge of OSHA and safe working procedures

**Primary Duties**:

- Carrying of hand tools.
- To clean up workshops and work areas when job is completed.
- Assist in basic mechanical repairs to production machines.
- Conduct plants and pump station mechanical inspections and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Assist on ensuring that health and safety adhere to it.
