**Job Description**:
The Internal Audit Actuary position provides the opportunity to learn about not only the technical actuarial concepts, but other business and operational areas within OUTsurance.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirement**
**Essential**
- Relevant degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Data Science etc.
- Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (FASSA or similar).
- 2 - 5 years’ experience in the Insurance Market with either a consultancy or industry background.
- Solid understanding of actuarial concepts and principles.
- Detailed understanding of Prudential and Governance Standards applicable to non-life insurers.
- Strong technical, problem identification and analytical skills.
- Experience with SQL programming is essential.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and Microsoft tools, particularly Excel.
**Advantageous**
- Strong non-life insurance market experience is desirable and auditing experience in this environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Under general direction, assist in risk-based actuarial audit activities/ investigations designed to identify risks and evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes.
- Assist in fieldwork activities, including inquiry of clients, inspection of calculations and documents, and observations and re-performance of complex control procedures.
- Prepare effective documentation (e.g. process flows, walk-throughs, working papers) for complex processes.
- Communicates audit/ investigation results clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Work alongside and provide support to the Head of Actuarial Function (HAF) in relevant actuarial matters that require their oversight.
- May also be required to assist the rest of the Internal Audit team by using hands-on analysis of company data and providing insights from this.
