Unit Manager

We are currently recruiting for a **Unit Manager**to be responsible for monitoring the quality of the food, service and making sure that the unit performs well.
Location: Port Elizabeth.
**Key responsibilities include but not limited to**
- Discuss catering arrangements;
- Plan menu and communicate with staff;
- Daily costing sheets to be completed;
- Supervise the purchase, storage and issuing of stock;
- Supervise provision of all crockery, cutlery, detergents, kitchenware, etc.;
- Adequate stock control and security;
- Record keeping of payments, expenses, temperature logs, safety & hygiene documentation;
- Plan, coordinate and supervise activities of staff in dining room, kitchen and other areas;
- Manage staff, training and time schedules;
- Make sure that the dining room, kitchen, storage facilities and other work areas are kept clean;
- Attend to complaints concerning food and service.
- Matric certificateDiploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Management or similar qualification;
- Minimum of 3-4yrs experience in a simular role;
- Good people management skills
- Sound knowledge of food safety & hygiene practices;
- Knowledge and experience of stock and cost control;
- Experience of menu planning;
- In depth understanding of roles, responsibilities and functions within the unit.
- Fluent in Afrikaans
- Valid drivers license
- Own vehicle
