**Energy Management System Expert - Johannesburg or Cape Town**

**Part One: EnMS Management Responsibility & Policy**
- Complete nondisclosure agreements with VALEO THERMAL SYSTEM.
- Draft scope and boundary statements for EnMS implementation.
- Draft/review Energy Policies if none is currently in place or integrate with existing policy.
- Obtain Energy Policy approval/confirmation, with signatures of respective management.

**Part Two: EnMS Energy Planning**
- Research and Development
- Research and review legal and other requirements, pertaining to energy use, for compliance.
- Acquire and analyze energy data of the building.
- Develop list of Energy Equipment and Systems.
- Construct energy balance for the building.
- Identify Significant People that influence energy usage.
- Analyze Energy Drivers. - Develop Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI’s).
- Develop Baseline and baseload
- Analyze Future Energy Use.
- Make decision on the need for focused energy assessment.
- Develop Energy Performance Opportunities (EPO’s) Databases for each of these commercial buildings.
- Review potential for renewables and alternatives.
- Document Process for Energy Planning and Review this.

**Part Three: EnMS Implementation & Operation**
- Determine critical operating parameters for SEUs
- Determine critical maintenance criteria for SEUs
- Determine and develop monitoring & measurement plan for the above criteria
- Develop communication/training plan for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) staff
- Define competency requirements for persons working with SEUs
- Identify training needs for energy schedule training of SEU personnel; keep records Conduct training of staff on basic energy awareness
- Conduct basic end-user energy management training of selected personnel, including internal energy team
- Identify any changes necessary (with respect to energy efficiency/management) for design and procurement processes
- Implement any identified changes to the design and procurement processes

**Part Four: EnMS Checking**
- Identify key characteristics of the EnMS that indicates successful energy performance improvement (these include relation between SEU and driving factors, EnPI’s, effectiveness of operational control, etc.)
- Evaluate current monitoring, measurement, and analysis for key characteristics
- Determine measurement and calibration needs for key characteristics - Implement identified changes to monitoring, measurement, and analysis
- Determine significant deviation criteria
- Define investigation process for significant deviations
- Develop Internal EnMS Audit plan

**Part Five: EnMS Management Review**
- Developing typical standard reporting template, ensure EnMS features on agenda of annual business review meeting, and provide chairperson with concise summary of progress

**Qualification & Experience**
- +8 Years in Energy assessment & implementation
- Recognized Tertiary qualification in Energy or similar field.
- Energy Management System Expert Certification by NCPC-SA - **Compulsory**
