Junior Farmer Coaches

Buhle Farmers’ Academy is recruiting Farmer Support Coaches to join our team. The main focus of the role is to provide on-the-ground coaching, technical guidance, data collection, risk and climate effect management and monitoring of farming enterprises to support farmer growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular farm visits to provide hands-on coaching and guidance to farmers.
- Support farmers in implementing production, financial, and business management practices.
- Assist with market access support, including recordkeeping, packaging, and branding guidance.
- Monitor farmer progress and challenges, and report findings to Farmer Support Officers.
- Facilitate learning through demonstrations, workshops, and practical sessions.
- Collect efficient and reliable data for monitoring and evaluation of farmer projects.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Agriculture (Crop Production, Animal Production, or Agribusiness).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel).
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous but not compulsory).
- Willingness to travel regularly to farms and rural communities.

- Organised, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Multilingual ability will be an advantage.

Pay: R7 000,00 per month
