The Regional Finance Specialist position collaborates with the client facing team to ensure that project finances - revenue and accounting, are accurately captured and reconciled within set timeframes in line with Duke CE policies and procedures. The Regional Finance Specialist will proactively ensure that business transactions are posted as soon as reasonably practical and compile key financial reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis.

The role is based at our office in Bryanston, five days a week.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Owns and nurtures relationships with client facing team members to ensure that they consistently acquire timely, accurate data necessary for sound business operations / decisions
- Maintain the invoicing schedule including managing and issuing client invoices for fees and expenses - resolving delays and escalating overdue payments, after following due process
- Regularly compile, distribute and present standard reports (e.g. unbilled revenue, expenses) to assist client teams the take the necessary actions required to successfully management of the financials of their projects.
- Assist with regular project contract and system update reviews ensure that project financials exactly line up with our obligations.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other finance colleagues - e.g. Contracting and Tax & Regulatory functions and proactively seek their input and guidance, where required.
- Ensure the correct client and educator SOWs are completed, signed and filed for record keeping
- Support the creation of new reports and data capture - to elevate financial analysis and insights
- Strong systems proficiency with evident strength for data input and workflow processes - assisted by familiarity with ERP, Finance modules and Expenses software (D365 and Concur)
- Completely own the processing of project related expenses on behalf of Educators.
- Identify and communicate potential financial issues to manager, prior to initiating action.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum of 4 years’ experience, as a proven Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field is a plus, but not required
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Must have extensive experience of project accounting, preparing financial statements, and participating in audits and compliance reviews.

- High proficiency using Microsoft Office particularly, Outlook and Excel
- Proficient in ERP systems; able to learn and work in various databases and systems
