**Corporate Legal Advisor. Kempton Park**

A pharmaceutical and healthcare company requires a Legal Advisor who will support the Group Legal team in the day-to-day corporate legal and compliance work. This individual is required to competently sevice the legal, corporate, commercial, intellectual property (IPR), litigation and other legal requirements of the Group whilst complying with legal strategy.

**Key Performance Areas and responsibilities (not limited to)**:

- Corporate Finance
- Provide legal assistance to the Mergers, Acquisition and Investments team
- Operational legal advice
- Identify the risk profile of the Group’s operations with regards to exposure in, inter alia commercial agreements and offers solutions
- Contract and agreement management
- Draft and vet of a wide range of corporate or commercial agreements and appendices and manage the active agreements of the group
- Compliance and reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly legal reports indicating activities performed and manage targets against these
- Prepare monthly management reports on the activities of the team, in addition to litigation reports and regulatory reports
- Projects
- Assists the Group Legal team in the management and implementation of projects led by the Legal team

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Law Degree or postgraduate Degree - LLB
- Admitted Attorney; Member of a professional body (Law Society of SA
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-articles legal experience in a corporate / commercial / operational legal environment
- General commercial knowledge and experience
- Experience in independently drafting and vetting legal agreements is essential
- General business industry experience (FMCG and/or pharmaceutical industry knowledge including regulatory experience is an advantage)
- Experience in Corporate Governance with a focus on King IV
- Exposure in drafting and negotiating international legal agreements

**Salary**:
R480k to R520k per annum, experience dependent
