Minimum Requirements**:
- Grade 12 / matric or equivalent with an accredited or recognised counselling certificate - 1 - 3 years’ work experience in the PWID industry or experience as a peer educator - Proficiency in English & siSwati languages - Valid driver’s licence advantageous - Clear criminal record**
Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Identify PWID hotspots for mobilisation - Link programme with relevant stakeholders - Educate PWID on risk reduction and prevention interventions and record accordingly - Conduct psychosocial outreach programmes to provide routine maintenance for clients and strengthen responsibility for treatment adherence - Promote U=U with PWID clients - Distribute male and female condoms and lube and record accordingly - Link PWIDs to access health services inclusive of HIV testing services - Successfully refer PWIDs to mobile health services - Assist with follow-up counselling sessions - Provide accurate and current health information to PWIDs using a variety of delivery strategies - Assist with the development of new health promotion materials - Mentor peers with CAG delivery strategies and mobilisation - Provide group sessions with clients and one-on-one based on need - Assist clients with appropriate interventions for issues related to psychosocial, (e.g. paralegal, rape, trafficking, substance abuse, etc.) - Assist team with treatment adherence and compile findings and reasons of missed appointments - Maintain relations with health services managers, indoor managers/owners and other gate keepers/stakeholders - Use the attendance register for counting number of male and female present during interventions and community engagements. - Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach activities and compile a summary of activities to be submitted to the line manager on a weekly basis - Report back to the line manager any positive or negative feedback from the PWID’s industry and general community - Drive team to hotspots daily - Any other duties as assigned by the line manager
