We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights into supply chain performance, including metrics such as inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics efficiency.
- Develop and optimise complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various internal and external sources.
- Leverage cloud-based platforms like BigQuery (or equivalent) to handle and analyse large datasets, enabling efficient decision-making

Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with supply chain managers, executives, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide insights tailored to their needs.
- Act as a trusted analytics partner, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage expectations and ensure transparent communication on progress, challenges, and deliverables.

Problem Solving & Ownership
- Analyse supply chain challenges and recommend innovative, data-driven solutions to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs with mínimal supervision.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, automating repetitive tasks and ensuring scalability of solutions.

Data Integrity & Governance
- Maintain data accuracy by following governance standards, performing regular quality checks, and validating results.
- Document data sources, processes, and reports to ensure transparency and consistency.

Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to align data pipelines and analytics tools with business needs.
- Train supply chain team members on how to interpret and use dashboards and reports to enhance operational decision-making.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a retail or supply chain environment.

**JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**

Essential
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development and optimisation.
- Expertise in Power BI for creating and maintaining advanced dashboards and visualisations.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Solid understanding of supply chain KPIs and processes, including demand planning, logistics, and inventory optimisation.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
