**POSITION: HEAD ACADEMIC TEACHER**

**Job description**

Head Academic Teacher of the Cape Choral Academy.

**Requirements**:

- Willing to uphold the school’s ethos and values
- Providing academic leadership and support
- Managing academic programme and timetables
- Liaising between CCA and WCED, Brainline, Teachers, Parents, Tutors
- CEMIS administration
- Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues, students and parents
- Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative and flexible
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent skills in communicating effectively with parents and students in both Afrikaans and English
- Computer literacy is imperative
- SACE registration
- Police clearance

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Prior teaching experience up to Grade 12 level
- 10+ years’ experience as an educator
- 5+ years’ experience in a management position, e.g. HOD/Academic Director
