Cad Operator

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

The CAD Operator prepares and updates drawings and plans for designing, documenting, downloading and analyzing of test results of data-communication networks. These drawings are a compilation of specialized representations and symbols to convey instructions regarding the material and assembly procedures and points required for an installation.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **CAD**
- Produce and or assist with designing schematic and presentation material for proposals and solutions offered to prospective Clients
- Plot and or update all drawings to meet the project specifications
- Update existing floor plans and certification results as part of project closure documents
- Compile and presenting plans and test results for certification by third party system providers for extended warranty programs.
- Compile and maintain a database of all plans and test results
- **Labels**
- Format and numerically produce labels for operational requirements
- **Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Responsibilities**
- Report any deviations that could lead to an accident
- Participate in Safety Training to improve safety standards
- Report incidents and accidents before the end of a shift
- Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedure
- Look after your own safety and that of other employees
- Ensure that the SHEQ Management System requirements are met towards customer, internal, ISO, regulatory / legal requirements.
- Manage and perform all internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Organization's products.
- Work with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors towards continual improvement of the Management system and report the need for improvement to Management.
- Keep up standards and regulations with respect to Products and Services
- **Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with your capabilities and at the request of your Superior**

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a CAD Operator
- Proficient in Basic AutoCAD ( certification advantageous)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Able to incorporate certification results to drawings
- Proficient in Coral Draw
- Design schematic plans
- Basic knowledge of floor plans and network typologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- A valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Must comply with the Company’s policies and procedures
