Ba-Phalaborwa Golf Club, on behalf of Indalo Hotels and Leisure is looking for a Scullery that will assist in the cleanliness and hygiene factors within a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Scullery, you will learn and develop cleaning techniques, gain knowledge of handling chemicals, and work under the guidance of senior chefs to ensure the hygienic operation of the kitchen.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**FINANCE**:
- Takes care and controls the waste of chemicals.
- Follows dilution and quantities of chemicals to be used at all times.
- Ensures no cutlery, crockery, or glassware is thrown away, unless damaged or broken.
- Damaged and broken items items to be recorded in the breakages book.
**CUSTOMER**:
- Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workplace.
- Greet all customers and suppliers in a friendly and professional manner.
**PROCESSES**:
- Always follow all Cleaning and H&S SOPs.
- Attend handover meetings upon arrival for shift and then at shift change.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned correctly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
**PEOPLE**:
- Ensure a high level of teamwork within the kitchen brigade.
- Attend all scheduled training sessions.
- Ensure you clock in upon arrival and clock out upon departure, of each shift.
- Maintain a high level of communication with all team members - Kitchen, bar and restaurant.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Experience**
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a kitchen environment within a single-standing restaurant or chain of restaurants, providing upmarket dining experiences.
- Good understanding of food and Health and safety practises.
- Good understanding of cleaning practises.
**Ideal Experience**
- Training on Chemicals and H&S.
**Minimum**
- Grade 10
- Proven experience as a Sculler or similar role, preferably in a single-standing restaurant.
- Must have a reputable, relevant, and unbroken record of service.

Pay: Up to R5 613,00 per month
