The Operations Team is responsible for the procurement of raw materials, as well as the planning and forecasting of the company’s diverse and extensive product offering. Because we own our supply chain, we are constantly driving innovation to ensure a solution-driven, team approach with a core focus of providing our customers with exceptional products and excellent service.

The Procurement Leader is responsible for managing our raw material supplier base, driving supplier performance and leading the procurement team. The Procurement Team are accountable for the purchasing and stock holding of all Raw Materials in line with company objectives as well as forming and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

**The main responsibilities include**:

- Leading the Procurement Team to ensure supply of raw materials are on time and in full.
- Approval of all raw material purchases.
- Ensuring purchasing decisions of the team are made in line with the Operations Budget.
- Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving supplier performance.
- Ensure Supplier conformity to agreed lead times and quality standards.
- Driving cost effective, quality focused and sustainable purchasing choices
- Supplier price negotiations.
- Monitoring and controlling raw material stock levels to ensure optimal stock holding across all Raw materials, in line with the given KPI’s.
- Make quick decisions on problems that may affect raw material stock holdings, finished good requirements or production.
- Work closely with the Forecasting and Production Planning Teams.
- Constant communication on raw material updates, concerns or shortages to relevant departments as required.

***The experience we’re looking for**:

- ** **University degree (eg. B.Com with Economics, Accounts or Supply Chain) with outstanding academic achievements.
- At least 5 year’s procurement/sourcing/buying experience, including leading a team.
- Clothing or têxtiles’ sector experience, advantageous.
- Highly computer literate in MS Office with ADVANCED spreadsheet skills essential.
- Syspro system experience would be a plus.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
