Internal Sales Representative (DIEP RIVER)
Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC, a leading automotive wholesaler dedicated to
delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Internal Sales Representative at our DIEP RIVER Branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Collaborate with management to facilitate customer visits by sales representatives.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and ensure the accurate completion of invoices.
- Expand our customer base by opening COD accounts for businesses.
- Sales Backorder:
- Efficiently update and manage backorders.
- Regularly check and promptly release backorders.
Customer Service:
- Proactively update customers on logístical, delivery, and supply issues.
- Address potential account problems and credit issues, providing prompt feedback to customers.
- Extend a courteous acknowledgment to customers entering the building and assist at the sales counter when required.
- Answer phones promptly, ensuring the timely return of calls and accurate quoting for customers.
- Administration:
- Keep customer information current and meticulously track customer claims and credits.
- Attend to staff accounts, ensuring they are used exclusively for the employee's vehicle and private use.
- Attend mandatory sales meetings.
- Actively participate in biannual stock-takes and company functions.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean work station, adhering to the dress code and appearance guidelines.
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric.
- Proven experience in sales in a similar automotive role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of the industry and products is advantageous.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
