We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Workshop Manager / Buyer to join our dynamic team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership & Management**:

- Supervising and mentoring a team of Mechanics, Auto electricians and support staff.
- Assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Addressing any operational or personnel issues.

**Workshop Operations**:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop.
- Ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs, breakdowns and call outs to site equipment failure.
- Managing resource allocation (manpower, equipment, etc.).
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring it's in good working order.
- Implementing preventative maintenance schedules.
- Managing inventory of spare parts and materials.

**Safety & Quality**:

- Enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Conducting regular safety training for staff.
- Implementing and enforcing quality control measures.
- Addressing and resolving any quality issues promptly.

**Budget & Financial Management**:

- Managing the workshop budget for repairs, maintenance, and supplies.
- Controlling costs and identifying potential cost-saving measures.
- Working with the finance department on budget matters.


**Qualifications**:

- **Qualified diesel mechanic** with a recognized trade test
- **Technical Expertise**: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems common in road construction equipment, trucks and site vehicles.
- **Leadership & Management Skills**: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- **Safety Awareness**: Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- **Experience**: minimum 10 years Extensive experience in a mechanical workshop, preferably within the roads construction industry.
- **Budget Management**: Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs
