Learning and Development Consultant

**The Role**
The purpose of the Learning and Development Consultant is to complete the whole learning lifecycle aligned to the strategic learning needs of the business. This cycle includes but is not limited to requirements analysis, high level training design, storyboarding, quality assurance, learning accessibility & learning delivery. In addition, the role may be required to support the Head of Organisational Development on business specific projects, initiatives and deliverables as and when required.

**Key Accountabilities** Learning Planning and Design**
1. Conduct thorough needs analyses for all learning design requests.
2. Develop story boards for digital training material, which could include online courses, videos, podcasts, infographics, and animations.
3. Design interactive e-learning courses using various suitable technologies e.g., ispring/ Articulate or similar
4. Design micro learning modules for regular release encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement in the business.
5. Service the end-to-end content design process including the assessment of learning.
6. Analyse and understand the characteristics of the current Learning Management System (LMS), and emerging technologies to make decisions.
7. Develop training content from scratch making use of various sources and for various delivery methodologies (e-learning, classroom, mobile learning etc)
9. Design and develop training material and assessments based on learning outcomes & specifications for in person and virtual training workshops (including refresher training) and training material (presentations, training manuals, end user, instructor guides etc).
**Delivery of Learning**
3. Act as the user administrator of the LMS platform with the ability to maintain foundation table setups; train or assist users; grant permissions; create security roles; input sensitive data; run reports and build system enhancements.
4. Assists with technical issues related to the LMS system by investigating problems and developing detailed suggestions for resolution of issues.
5. Prepare all required learning materials for facilitated learning interventions.
6. Facilitate and/or conduct training sessions with staff as per the needs of the project.
7. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders in deploying learning solutions.
**Organisational Development Support**
1. Support the Head of Organisational Development with the delivery of business specific projects, initiatives, or deliverables as and when required.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
1. Establish successful partnerships with stakeholders in an effort to understand their learning requirements.
2. Consult with stakeholder areas to agree on reasonable and achievable deadlines for the design and delivery of learning content.
3. Proactive engagement with Learning and Development team and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery.
4. Engage continuously with relevant stakeholders on progress and quality standards of learning material to ensure that the content and services delivered meet the agreed upon service level standards.

1. Engage proactively with the business function on any legislative or compliance changes from an L&D perspective that may have an impact on delivery.
2. Guide and aid business in ensuring strict compliance with all required Learning and Development policies, procedures, and best practices.
