- Formulation of new products and optimisation of existing products
- Evaluation of alternative materials from alternative suppliers
- Technical assistance and support to the production team during plant trials
- Prepare appropriate technical reports and recommendations based on research outcomes
- Hazardous Chemical Substance Coordinator for the mining Laboratory
- Generating product BOMS for production as well as approvals on behalf of R&D Department
- Technical customer support for key account
- Generate product safety data sheets via LISAM
- Internal calibrations of laboratory equipment and servicing as required
- Compliance with all legislative regulations

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- BSc/MSc in Chemistry
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in research and development laboratory
- Must be prepared to travel and have a valid driver’s license

**Competencies**:

- Good communication skills
- Highly organized and able to work independently
- Good report writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-driven
