**Here's what we'll do together**:
In this role, you will be defining, leading and implementing the marketing strategy of G-Star RAW in South Africa by translating the Global Marketing Strategy into a locally relevant message, while addressing specific market needs for the region.
Your primary objective will be to increase brand awareness and consideration in South Africa, as well as ensure the growth of the brand in the market, across all channels with a focus on retail and digital. You will work closely with the global marketing team at HQ to ensure consistent brand messaging in the region. You will be the main point of contact for the marketing teams of our key accounts, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining these critical relationships. You will need to build a seamless brand experience from in-store to the digital store of partners and create opportunities to grow by delivering a 360 marketing strategy across the consumer decision journey.
You will be responsible for the planning, management and execution of the local marketing budget, in collaboration with the global marketing team. You will also be fully responsible for the organization of local brand events.
You will oversee and guide the strategy and execution of social media activities for G-Star RAW South Africa.
**Tasks & Responsibilities**:
- Create a regional marketing plan that is aligned with the global marketing strategy, and designed to meet the regional sales targets;
- Support the GM and global marketing team with annual financial planning and budgeting, as well as marketing channel KPI reporting and analysis.
- Set up a regional strategy for consumer-focused partnerships with major retailers and actively manage those partnerships for both offline and online channels;
- Guide the local strategy and oversee the local execution of digital marketing activities in South Africa that are aligned with the global media and campaign strategy.
- Devise a clear marketing activity calendar for all channels, using all materials and information provided by the Global Marketing team.
- Ensure relevant content, encourage engagement and promote the brand through social media channels;
- Retail Store activations: support launches, events and store activations by driving traffic to our stores and maximize conversion opportunities through in-store merchandising;
- Create, manage and execute local events in South Africa.
- Define and deliver on KPIs linked to campaign activations per account and drive the Marketing ROI
- Overlook the PR plans and the execution of local PR activities and PR events in South Africa.
- Furthermore, you may be requested to carry out other activities where appropriate
**Here's what you bring to the table**:
- Bachelor degree in marketing or communication;
- Minimum of 8 years (retail) marketing experience in an international fashion or branded environment;
- Understanding of marketing KPIs and ability to translate marketing activities into financial and sales performance results;
- Strong experience in digital marketing and social media;
- Experience with local marketing activations in both wholesale and owned retail environments;
- Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality;
- Denim-minded and have affinity for the G-Star brand.
