Reporting to: Quality Assurance Technologist
Conduct daily and additionally scheduled checks of factory Pre-Requisite Programs PRP) and Critical Control Point (CRP) eg. recording and monitoring of chiller temperatures, chemical dosing, pest control, metal detectors functioning etc.
Investigate and report on any non-conforming results of PRP checks
Conduct scheduled environmental monitoring for laboratory testing. e.g. hygiene swabs, water and air sampling
Conduct scheduled finished product and raw materials sampling for laboratory testing
Perform trend analyses and report on both product batch release and retention sample monitoring sessions
Conduct staff training to redress day to day non-conformances as and when they occur
Perform on-line document verifications
Assist with customer complaint investigations
Accompany outside service providers when visiting the production areas and organisation premises
Maintain a log of daily incident report records
Monitor that production processes are conducted according to the approved specification and the reporting of any non-conformances
Constantly promote Good Manufacturing Practices and Clean-As-You-Go practices throughout the organisation
Liaise with cleaners and contractors to resolve any cleaning issues
Monitor the correct storage of finished products, raw materials and chemicals according to approved procedures
Distribution of daily quality control related documents to production staff
Maintenance, filing and archiving of documentation
**Inherent Requirements**
A completed tertiary degree / diploma in either food technology or biotechnology
A minimum of one year’s experience within the FMCG environment
An intermediate command of English, both written and verbal
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
An assertive approach with a high level of emotional intelligence
The ability to interact and collaborate with fellow employees at all levels of the organisation
The ability to work under pressure and a strong drive to meet set deadlines
