**purpose**

Mr Price Home has an opportunity for a Location Planner to join the division. The purpose of this role is to effectively work with the merchandise team to achieve the company’s strategic objectives and seasonal financial strategies in order to drive sales and profitability by providing the customer with a delightful in store experience through assortment and store balancing, ensuring the right product is at the right price, right place and at the right time.

**key responsibilities**
- Understanding the principles of location planning
- Developing effective communication channels within operations teams
- Develop effective strategies to optimise opportunities for store specific occurrences e.g.: coastal store needs, university towns
- Maintain store grading process which accounts for customer centric nuances.
- Continuously managing and guiding the correct distribution of stock brought into the business across locations to achieve maximum return on investment
- Manage strategic allocations to ensure optimal balance of stock in stores
- Monitor and provide input into volumes behind promoted and marketed item based on analysis and understanding of customer behaviour based on regional nuances
- Understanding of the international price matrix in line with pricing strategy
- Working on a Demand & Fulfillment Tool and training DnF (Principles, Concepts, Functionality, Reporting), in line with Business requirements

**requirements**
- A relevant tertiary qualification preferably in Commerce/ Maths/ Stats degree
- Display a passion for the merchandise processes
- 3 - 5 years of location planning/ planning experience
- Proficiency on a Demand and Fulfillment Tool
- MS Office - advanced MS Excel
- Initiative, results driven and have the ability to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
- Logical, methodical approach
- Analytical, conceptual, problem solving and solution-driven
- Effective communication skills at all levels of the business
