Are you someone who has experience in:

- To manage and control software licenses across the FirstRand group by enabling proactive license control in software acquisition, inventory tracking, database entry, software license compliance activities, maintenance software renewals, life cycle planning and costing/budgeting.
- Required to provide recommendations on software models that optimise value, cost and risk to the Bank
- Ability to understand licensing for multiple publishers and manage the license on Flexera - keeping contracts
- Flexera knowledge is key
- 5 years License management experience

Key Responsibilities:

- Experience on Flexera software is key
- Prevent wastage and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
- Analyse, identify savings and optimisation opportunities per Publisher.
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.
- Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analysing trends and data.
- Provide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and in terms of overall customer targets.
- Accumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Software Asset Management team members to ensure optimal data collection.
- Compile and analyse substantial amounts of data from multiple sources to obtain accurate compliance positions per Software.
- Publisher Collect and manage SAM-related information from various and multiple internal systems and software manufacturers.
- Engage with Software Publishers, group procurement, internal cost centre customers (and other stakeholders) to collect, organize, and manage the specific software assets.
- Develop or improve process to define the entitlement and inventory scope to ensure entitlement and inventory information are properly aligned and consistent.
- Reconcile entitlements (based upon Product Use Rights, rules, allowances, etc. they embody) with hardware/software inventory information to understand the compliance position of the group and its component cost centres.
- Organise and analyse specific purchase information to establish an accurate and complete summary of license entitlements per publisher by analysing purchase records and other entitlement information (including contracts, EULAs, EAs, etc.)
- Use product use rights for software publishers providers to map and verify license compliance positions on the Bank's software license Management tool.
- Ensure the license configuration on the SAM compliance tool match the Product Use Rights and Entitlements.
- Action and deliver project plan to ensure deadlines are met, acting as project team member or leader of a work stream Provide information from Project Managers pertaining to financial matters.
- Deliver interpretive analysis of systems and process life cycle when planning to improve processes and systems Assist in business user acceptance testing of systems improvements.
- Use industry best practices to map, analyse and advise on license compliance across all software estates in the FirstRand group and optimise on license control and spend.
- Enable vendor consolidation and advise business on license optimisation based on industry best practices.
- Assess own performance through seeking timely, and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
