**Purpose**

To create a positive work environment and ensure that the employer-employee relationship is constructive and mutually beneficial. The role will also be responsible for handling employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Practice sound and fair labour relations practises and implement HR policies and processes.
- Continually advise line managers on appropriate disciplinary action to be taken and ensure the business always complies with the disciplinary code.
- Mediate discussions with employees and their representatives in attempt to reconcile differences.
- Advise management on the procedural and substantive aspects of any disciplinary actions such as misconduct, poor performance, negligence, and grievance.
- Present the company during conciliation, arbitration, or other labour negotiations.
- Produce reports on ER trends or activities throughout the organisation and provide recommendations.
- Interpret contractual agreements for senior management and employees engaged in collective bargaining or other labour relations processes.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders such as unions, barging council and any other employee representatives.

Training and educate management and employees on policies, procedures, collective agreements, and relevant legislation continuously

**Skills Required**:

- Degree or Diploma in human resources management, Labour Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an industrial/ employee relations role
- Extensive CCMA experience essential
- In depth knowledge of LRA, BCEA, EE and CCMA rules
