The university seeks to employ a skilled, knowledgeable and resourceful individual to co-ordinate services on a diverse range of construction projects. The position will suit someone with strong planning and monitoring skills, who is energetic and pro-active, and who is committed to delivering on projects undertaken.

The post reports to the Manager: Projects and the** functions include**:

- Serve as the primary project point of liaison for internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee and co-ordinate the activities and services of external consultants and contractors
- Assume responsibility for all project planning and administration
- Monitor and track project progress against plan (Time, Cost, Scope and Quality) and implement corrections as necessary
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensure an orderly and comprehensive project close out process
- Monitor project quality and resolve non-conformance items
- Monitor service deliverables and sign off on receipt
- Manage building and campus access
- Monitor and report on project risks
- Plan, coordinate and integrate the activities of internal resources
- Compile and distribute meeting minutes and regular project progress reports
- Provide a document management service, including a technical library for each project
- Arrange and administer all professional services (internal and external)
- Draft communications and notices for publication

**Minimum Requirements**
- National Diploma in a Built Environment Discipline (BTech degree would be an advantage)
- 3-5 years’ experience in the construction or building industry
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and construction software
- Valid drivers’ license (with two years driving experience, accident free)
- Proven project co ordinator track record on small to medium scale projects-
