CNC Operator

An established Precision Engineering Business based in Wellington, Western Cape is seeking to employ an experienced CNC Operator on a permanent basis.

**Responsibilities**
- Examine detailed drawings or specifications to establish the job, material and equipment requirements.
- Program and set-up tooling in the CNC Turning and milling machine when manufacturing different components.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance practices on existing equipment.
- Slotting or drilling metal stock or components.
- Ensure that the quality of work meets the required standards.
- Fit and assemble metal parts and tools or sub
- assemblies.
- Set up and / or operate hand and machine tools.
- Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.

**Qualifying Criteria**
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Relevant Red Seal Trade Test certificate would be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience within the engineering or metal industry
- CNC Turning and Milling operating experience is a pre-requisite
- Extensive knowledge of power tools
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Rules
- Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English)
- Must be prepared to work overtime when required
- Own transport

**Salary - **R20,000 to R40,000 / month, depending on skills and experience.
