Applications are invited for the **Team Leader - Marketing** position to be based in **East London.**

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
The Team Leader Marketing will assist the Marketing Manager with tactical sales plans for the achievements of regional targets.

**Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to**:

- Accurate short
- and medium-sales forecast for the regional hub.
- Meticulously lead generation and sales/marketing pipeline management.
- Tracking and reporting key sales/marketing metrics daily.
- Ensuring all sales staff maintain strict departmental adherence to all SOPs and other internal processes and procedures.
- Assisting with the preparation of detailed analysis reports of sales/marketing results, team performance and regional growth trends for Management.
- Highly accurate capturing of all customer and sales related information on Datatill and other internal systems.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of Herotel's entire product range.
- Assisting with lead generation initiatives in conjunction with internal/external resources.
- Cultivating cross-functional teamwork with all other Departments in the Regional Hub
- Leading by example with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and honesty.
- Always portraying the company to stakeholders in a positive manner.
- Identifying and helping Area Manager with the placement of containers or office space for your team.
- Cooperating with local leaders to maintain good relationships between Herotel and the community.
- Assisting the Marketing department with activation and marketing opportunities for your areas.
- Weekly site visits to ensure correct policies and procedures are being followed.
- Helping to recruit, select and train internal and external sales team members.
- Ongoing mentoring & coaching of all sales team members.
- Tracking of sales team performance via monthly KPAs.
- Assisting with departmental performance management and where necessary disciplinary Issues.
- Participate in the daily Level-1 MOS meeting.
- Execute daily assigned activities to fulfil Operational plans.
- Report daily on personal activity performance and participate in problem solving triggers.
- Actively discuss activity and process improvements in MOS meetings.
- Uphold partnership agreements with customer and/or supplier teams.
- Submit to team and business leadership by following Policies, SOPs and OPLs.
- Lead MOS meetings as directed by the relevant Functional Manager.
- Coach, lead, and guide team members and assist with decision making.

**Key Outputs**:

- Execute activities as planned with an urgency to exceed expectations.
- Ensure that work quality is always maintained and in line with expectations.
- Complete all administration required in a timely manner.
- Maintain, respect and care for tools issued.
- Ensure the business culture is practiced by the team.
- Provide oversight of the team as directed by the Functional Manager, and provide feedback
- Minimum of 2 years' work experience in a sales/marketing department
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and implement plans
- Able to operate as a functional SME

- Must be able to travel locally
- Valid drivers license

**Education Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in sales or marketing would be an advantage
