**SAP BW4HANA Consultant
**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

To work as part of a multidisciplinary SAP Project Team responsible for the full end to end lifecycle of delivering reporting from Non-SAP and S/4HANA systems using SAP BW4HANA for data extraction and transformations for all Business areas of the Bank.

This includes all necessary activities like BW4HANA Modelling, design of info object, ADSO (Advanced Data Store Object), CP (Composite Provider), process chain, Bex queries, ABAP on HANA, Eclipse/HANA Studio, HANA SQL (SQLScript) and HANA Stored Procedures experience. You will be responsible for design, configuration, development, implementation, documenting and subsequent training of end-users.

**ACCOUNTABILITY - PROJECT DELIVERY**

Outputs to deliver this accountability:

- Assists in the development and implementation of the project plan. This could include drafting the project plan (scope, deliverables, and timelines).
- For relevant area of expertise, perform all assigned project activities leading to the implementation of the requirements.
- Contributes to implementation of projects by analysing client’s business processes and SAP solution design.
- Execution of assigned project tasks in all relevant area of expertise. This includes facilitating meetings/task groups, tracking and influencing task group progress, tracking project deliverables, etc.
- Adhere to the ABSA SAP project methodology as well as to the ABSA Change Management processes and procedures in order to ensure that the quality and integrity of the system is maintained.
- Provide SAP functional expert knowledge to business and rest of project team members where necessary through workshops to discuss new functionality available in the system.
- Build and maintain relationships with business users to map business requirements and delivery of proposed solutions. As well as understand & document BI requirements.
- Engage with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Subject Matter Experts (SME's) and/or Testers to understand their reporting requirements
- Building additional Data marts for remaining reports.
- Understand the data warehouse concepts
- Support the SAP Business Warehouse environment including BEX Analyzer
- Implement complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) logic that cannot be handled by BW mapping options, as well as ABAP-based Data Source.
- Investigate and debug existing ABAP routines/logic. Perform ABAP programming for necessary complex data extractions.
- Compile the business blueprint for the BW4Hana solution, design and implementation using the BRD (Business Requirements Document), outcomes of workshops and ASAP methodology templates.
- Developing and preparing functional specification for reports.
- Compile test cases and test scenarios for unit testing and integration testing as well as test data for all business processes within the relevant area of expertise.
- Perform unit testing and system integration testing for solutions using the test cases developed.
- Assist the Functional consultants with user acceptance testing (UAT) to obtain UAT sign off from business after successful completion of testing.
- Complete all relevant system documentation and obtain relevant signoff.
- Assist with creation of user manuals and training documentation.
- Work with the SAP security team on resolving authorization issues and provide recommendations on optimal security setup for ongoing projects’ requirements.
- Identify and request SAP Note Implementations.
- Sets priorities appropriately. Ensures that work outputs are timely and of the highest quality.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Role specific:

- A Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a BW/BI solutions developer and a minimum of 3 years’ experience of BW4 HANA with at least 2 full lifecycle BW4Hana design and implementation projects.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in large scale Financial sector projects.
