EdgePoint Software is a growing technology start-up based in South Africa and we are pushing the boundaries of innovations. Having gone up against the likes of Google, Amazon,Apple and Oracle to obtain our Patent the team is positioned for commercialization. We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with experience in; driving new technology into the market, building a company's technology strategy and leading a team of developers to deliver innovative solutions to customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the company's technology strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Lead, manage and execute technical tasks as well as support developers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions that incorporate AI technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry, and provide recommendations for adoption where appropriate.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to understand customer needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
- Implement and maintain best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and continuous integration and deployment.
- Ensure that the company's software solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Identify and solve technical challenges that arise in the course of development.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in a similar development environment
- Experience with AI integration
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, AngularJS, VueJS, etc.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP, Java, etc.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Oracle, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, etc.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
- Experience in mobile development for Android, iOS, React Native, etc.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of product development procedures and methodologies

**Salary**: Competitive, based on experience.

**Salary**: R65,000.00 - R75,000.00 per month

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
