**Job Purpose**:
To undertake mechanical and associated repair and maintenance on departmental vehicles and
their associated systems and equipment.

**Key Responsibility Areas**:
Co-ordinates activities and sequences associated with maintaining the functionality of
petrol/diesel mechanical plant and vehicles.
Services all fire and emergency services department vehicles, standby power supplies and
other fire safety apparatus.
Performs major and minor repairs on all fire and emergency services departments' vehicles.
Makes improvements or modifications to new or existing fire apparatus.
Conducts pump and other service tests on vehicles and equipment.
Attends training courses, and studies assigned materials related to emergency operations and
fire apparatus maintenance.
Ensures details of activities are accurately recorded.

**Essential Requirements**:
Qualified Artisan in a related trade.
Valid unrestricted drivers' license (Code EC).
3 years relevant experience

**Preferred Requirements**:
4 Years relevant experience.
