Junior Bookkeeper

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to kickstart their career in accounting and finance.

**Job Summary**: The Junior Bookkeeper will assist in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries.
- Handle inquiries from clients, suppliers, and employees regarding financial transactions.
- Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Patel, Xero, or similar).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)
