Solar Technician

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inspect, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems, including solar panels, inverters, and wiring.
- Conduct site assessments to determine solar energy potential and system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair PV system components, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines during installation and maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures.
- Document service activities, including reports, photos, and technical details.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and industry standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory for PV system installations.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical, renewable energy, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 Years of Experience in PV system installation, maintenance, or electrical work.
- Knowledge of photovoltaic technology, electrical wiring, and solar energy principles.
- Familiarity with tools, testing equipment, and safety procedures related to PV systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at heights, on rooftops, and in outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 30 kgs).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops safely.

Pay: From R1,00 per month

**Education**:

- Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- PV system installation, maintenance, or electrical work: 2 years (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (required)
