Communications Manager

**Position Overview**:
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing communications strategy, control the flow of information between the company, internal and external stakeholders. Plan and execute detailed outreach plans and promotional campaigns that are aligned to the organisation’s strategy and projects

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field is required
- Master’s Degree (Advantageous)
- 5+ Years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, or similar field at managerial level in an NGO or Corporate setup
- Highly articulate individual with excellent written communications, editing, proofreading, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead communications strategies
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, including the ability to synthesize complex issues and deliver succinct summaries

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a communications strategy, manage the dissemination of all externally facing content interfacing with the media, policymakers, funders, and other key stakeholders
- Responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing communications activities, both internal or external, that effectively describe and promote the organization, its activities, and its mandate
- Support the CEO in building donor strategies that work in tandem with the communications plan and builds community engagement and investment to the company
- Lead communication campaigns and develop media content aimed at creating awareness on issues facing key and vulnerable populations
- Develop and refine the business project’s core message and voice to ensure organisational consistency, both internally and externally
- Plan and execute detailed outreach strategies and promotional campaigns to increase Advocacy, social mobilization within communities on MSM, AGYW, TG and CRS modules
- Develop relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage for the Award both online and offline as and when required
- Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of presentations, speeches, articles, newsletters, brochures, reports, fliers, and external press releases
- Develop an effective social network system towards retention, support of project beneficiaries
- Develop and lead the internal communication strategy amongst award teams and their SRs
- Promote brand awareness and appropriate use of door logo by PR and SR
- Oversee the annual communications budget and ensure its maximum utilization
- Responsible for website management and content development for the Award
- Develop appropriate prevention messaging and awareness campaigns for hard-to-reach populations
- Identify significant media and public policy issues that are related to the company
- Work closely with program managers and directors to develop new program content and narrow or expand target audiences
- Develop quality control mechanisms for all information released externally
- Represent the organization to a variety of audiences including funders, policymakers, government agencies, advocacy, and victims’ rights groups
- Respond to media inquiries, manage media contacts, and maintain relationships with the media

**Skills/Competencies**:
