Duties/Pligte
- Entering into, and abiding by, the required tripartite contract of service learning with a principal attorney and the Legal Practice Council. Duties include:

- Providing support to other practitioners within the firm on all aspects of legal practice;
- Assisting in the preparation of matters for trials or hearings;
- Conducting research and preparing legal opinions;
- Attending consultations with clients, witnesses and experts;
- Attending at court, including pre-trial conferences and trial proceedings;
- Liaising with counsel, experts, clients and opposing parties;
- Attending to the day-to-day management of files under the supervision of other practitioners;
- Drafting agreements, letters and other legal documents;
- Assisting and supporting students as well as any teaching offered by the Law Clinic;
- Conducting other daily administrative and legal practices.
- Kontrakteer, en dien onder, die vereiste drieparty-kontrak van indiensopleiding met 'n prinsipaal prokureur en die Regspraktykraad. Pligte sluit in:

- Ondersteun ander praktisyns binne die firma met alle aspekte van regspraktyk;
- Hulpverlening met die voorbereiding van sake vir verhore;
- Doen navorsing en berei regsmenings voor;
- Hanteer konsultasies met kliënte, getuies en deskundiges;
- Waarneming van verskynings in die hof, insluitend voorverhoorkonferensies en verhoorverrigtinge;
- Skakel met advokate, deskundiges, kliënte en opponerende partye;
- Behartig die daaglikse bestuur van lêers onder die toesig van ander regspraktisyns;
- Opstel van ooreenkomste, briewe en ander regsdokumente;
- Bied bystand en ondersteuning aan studente sowel as enige onderrig wat deur die Regskliniek aangebied word;
- Voer ander daaglikse administratiewe en regsaktiwiteite uit.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- LLB qualification;
- Fluent (verbally and written) in English and Afrikaans, or English and IsiXhosa;
- Good legal writing skills;
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently;
- The ability and willingness to work outside office hours, including on weekends as may be required from time to time;
- The ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships;
- The ability to work under pressure;
- The bility to work on own initiative;
- Sharing the values upon which the Law Clinic is founded;
- The ability to function effectively in a multicultural environment.
- LLB-kwalifikasie;
- Ten volle vaardig (mondeling en skriftelik) in Engels en Afrikaans, of Engels en IsiXhosa;
- Goeie regskryfvaardighede;
- Die vermoë om as deel van 'n span en onafhanklik te werk;
- Die vermoë en bereidwilligheid om buite kantoorure te werk, insluitend naweke soos van tyd tot tyd vereis mag word;
- Die vermoë om goeie interpersoonlike verhoudings te handhaaf;
- Die vermoë om onder druk te werk;
- Die vermoë om op eie inisiatief te werk;
- Deel die waardes waarop die Regskliniek gegrond is;
- Die vermoë om effektief in 'n multikulturele omgewing te funksioneer.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Relevant prior work experience;
- Existing knowledge of and familiarity with the work of the Law Clinic.
- Toepaslike vorige werkservaring;
- Bestaande kennis van, en vertroudheid met, die werk van die Regskliniek.
