**Job Purpose**:
Bidvest International Logistics is recruiting a Senior Controller within the International Logistics Product.

The incumbent will administer all operational functions in a specific department/allocated section for both General Cargo as well as Automotive shipments.

This position will also serve as a Relief Controller for various controlling functions.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
- 7 - 10 years industry related experience
- End-to-End Supply Chain knowledge is essential
- Strong proven working specialist knowledge of International Forwarding, Incl. Hazardous cargo, Dangerous goods, Reefer cargo, Staged Consignment Imports and Exports
- Excellent understanding of Incoterms

**Key Responsibilities**:

- File registration and freight firwarding of all shipment types in accordance with Client requirements
- Track Client consignments from time of receipt or shipping instruction to arrival at destination in accordance with Incoterm
- Liaise with import and export stakeholders and report on readiness status of shipments
- Co-ordinate movement of cargo with the transport operators
- Generate proforma invoice in accordance with Client rate structure and transaction disbursements ensuring accurate billing
- Track documentation flow from time of shipment to time of receipt in BIL and Agent Offices
- Create paperless shipping files and register on CargoWise
- Expedite cargo with carriers, terminals, depots and other transport operators (during after-hours when required)
- Initiate claims in respect of lost, damaged or discrepant cargo
- Forward invoices to Invoicing Quality Controller to confirm correct rates
