Starke Ayres: Sales Assistant

This position has become available at our West Coast Garden Centre in Cape Town. The purpose of this role is to maximize the sales of the Company’s nursery range of products through effective displays maintenance of sales areas and assistance to customers in a helpful and friendly manner, offering advise as and when required.

Comprehensive and efficient service for all customers
Assists customers with purchases by advising or sourcing relevant advice from horticultural personnel.
Loads customers trolleys with their purchase and guides them to the till points and assist the cashier with capturing the correct code/price of products.
After payment, carefully loads purchases into the customers vehicle, ensuring that all trolleys are returned to the trolley areas as per seasonal operational requirements.
Upsell and cross-sell to customers and informs them about promotions in order to maximise sales.
Give accurate advice/feedback to customers regarding delivery procedures.
Provide accurate information and advice to customers regarding the selection, purchase, and care of products, as well as introduce.
Responsible for maintenance of a demarcated area of the Nursery in a clean and tidy condition at all times
Maintains all plants in the demarcated area in a clean, healthy, and saleable condition.
**Assist with merchandising**: Labelling and merchandising of plants in Nursery Areas

**Qualifications**:
Matric-National Senior Certificate
- Grade 12 (Essential)
