Junior Qs

We are seeking a **Junior Quantity Surveyor** to join our team in Cape Town. This role is central to ensuring our developments are **cost-effective, accurate, and financially viable** — from the early design stages right through to completion.

As our in-house QS, you will:

- **Cost and feasibility assessments** during concept and design development stages to guide decision-making before committing to designs and funding.
- **Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BoQs)** and tender documentation.
- **Identify and assess potential risks**with cost overruns, delays and other potential issues.
- **Conduct accurate material quantity take-offs** for small and large-scale projects.
- **Monitor and provide input on budgets and cost control** throughout construction phases. Track project progress against budget and schedule.
- **Advise on procurement strategies** and negotiate with suppliers/contractors.
- **Travel to sites across South Africa** (approx. once a month depending on number of projects) for inspections, measurements, and contractor meetings.

**What We’re Looking For**
- BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- **Post-qualification experience** in commercial/industrial projects.
- Strong skills in cost estimation, tender documentation, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in **construction estimating software** (Candy, WinQS, CostX, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD or BIM software advantageous.
- Willingness to travel inter-provincially for site work.
- A self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to collaborate, forward-thinking individual that can work in an environment that is creative and everchanging.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
