Intern Real Estate Agent

**Introduction**

Just retired or just starting out or already in sales and want to double your existing sales commissions we would like to hear from you No experienced in real estate is required - we will provide the training and systems. We however require individuals with life experience and that are financially stable and stay in and around Kempton Park.

Our local office in Kempton Park, Harcourts Solid Rock, is currently looking for dynamic people wanting to make a living, selling real estate in Kempton Park and Tembisa.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

What would initially be required from yourself?

You will need to sustain yourself for initial period as you learn to become a Real Estate Agent: Some agent sell their first house in their first month and some only six months later. Agents only get paid once their home registeres. You will require a car. You will require a laptop. Being an agent is hardwork. We are looking for full time agents. You also initially need to invest R3000 to cover your business cards and costs to register an an intern agent. You need to have know Microsoft Powerpoint and have a good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word. You need a matric certificate. You need a good support structure at home. You need people's skills. A financial background to perform mathematical calculations would be advantages. Having a network of people in and around Kempton Park would also be advantages.

**Duties and responsibilities**

As part of being a Real Estate Agent:

- You will be required to prospect for new business that will include cold calling and knock and drops
- You will be required to learn every aspect of being a Real Estate agent - all legal requirements
- You will be required to create and present listing presentations
- You will be required to perform market analysis and research for clients
- You will be required to load data and create adverts
- You will be required to perform showhouses
- You will be required to drive around with buyers showing properties for sale
- You will be required to provide feedback to sellers on a weekly basis and report on sales figures achieved
- You will be required to perform personal branding activities

If you are new to the industry you will be provided with mentoring and with the necessary training and skills to become successful in selling Real Estate.

To become a successful agent you need to have the following attributes:

- Be goal orientated
- Need to be a people's person
- Need to have very good project management skills
- Need to be a selfstarter
- Need to have IT skills - good knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Need to be a good communicater
- Need to be persistant

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

You will need to have at least a matric certificate.

Any cold calling experience would be advantages

You need PC skills (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

You need to be hard working

You need to be self motivated

You need to be able to work as a consultant

You will need to have a valid drivers license

You need to stay in around Kempton Park

You will need to be fluent in at least two South African languages

You dont need any sales experience but any previous sales experience could be an advantage.

As part of your training you will be enrolled in a training program and after a year if succesful you will be able to write an exam with the Property Practioners Regulatory Authority and qualify as a full status agent.

**Package & Remuneration**

Being an Estate Agent you have to limit on what you earn but it takes hard work and self drive.

You are paid for what you do. So you are paid commission on each each property when it is registered.

You are not paid a fix salary, you are not paid a petrol allowance.

We offer very competative commission splits.
