**Job Description and Responsibilities**:

- Pursue optimal licensing models with all service providers through negotiation and innovation, thereby ensuring VWSA obtains maximum benefit of licensing and minimum/optimal cost.
- Provide regular management feedback/updates and status reports on all aspects of this function, to ensure management knowledge and intervention capability is facilitated.
- Manage the full life cycle of software assets from identification, requisition ordering, inventory, installation, maintenance to disposal
- Responsible for maintaining an up to date and accurate inventory of all software & hardware licenses utilized within VWSA
- Ensure that the correct processes and procedures are in place to minimize licensing risks and incurring high costs due to violations of license policies
- Optimize software / hardware licenses and reduce cost while maintaining license compliance
- Timeous renewal of all internal & external web certificates
- As the VWSA Group Liaison there are continuous interaction with colleagues from the America’s Region and other group companies on various license management related topics, e.g. Group Software Audits, License compliance reporting, etc.
- Respond to requests from end users, developers, and team members for specific IT software and hardware information.

**Education and Experience**:

- 3 year IT (or related) Qualification - degree or diploma (minimum)
- 3 years IT and/or business systems experience

**Skills, Attributes & Other requirements**:
ESSENTIAL:

- ITIL Foundation
- Experience and a good understanding of a variety of IT licensing models
- Liaison with IT Service Providers especially re Licensing
- Knowledge of software contracts and software inventory
- Experience working with license management tools, e.g. Flexera
- Expert experience in using Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to seamlessly interact with people across all levels within and outside of the organisation
- Highly motivated with excellent time management skills and able to work under own initiative
- Able and willing to take ownership of problems, issues and proactively resolve them
- Influence with tact and diplomacy
- Analytical skills
