LOCATION- South Africa DurbanJOB SKILLS Engineering and Project ManagementTYPE PermanentJOB ID - 154054SALARY - Negotiable**FUNCTION: DEPUTY TECHNICAL MANAGER** **DISCIPLINE: ENGINEERING & PROJECT MANAGEMENT** **PROJECT FLAG: CERES BURUP (PERDAMAN)** **LOCATION: CHENNAI, INDIA / AUSTRALIA** **DURATION: CONTRACT (RENEWABLE)** **SALARY: MARKET RELATED** **"TRS has a great International opportunity for a DEPUTY TECHICAL MANAGER with strong Mechanical background and Home Office Engineering experience to join our Client's **CERES BURUP (PERDAMAN) Project **based in First year in CHENNAI, INDIA and then Site in AUSTRALIA.”** **JOB DESCRIPTION**: - Manage, supervise project process/engineering design activities according to contract requirements and project objectives. - Ensure time cost quality project objectives are met, through direct coordination and management of project engineering team and close coordination with the relevant engineering product line central function. - Cooperate and support project managers/directors in defining, monitoring and updating project execution plans promoting an active interaction with project team key functions. - Define project engineering organization charts, staffing the roles with engineering Head of Department. - Ensure review of contractual documents engineering related interfacing with other project function. - Ensure skills, know-how and methods for the relevant technologies are developed and available and that an appropriate plan for training is in place. - Participate in defining the overall project planning and scheduling, directly supervising the finalization of engineering plans and schedule, including the architecture of detail engineering outsourcing. - Promote and participate in the induction of the engineering team to contract/project requirements. **QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**: - Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Qualification or equivalent technical qualification within related field of experience. - Minimum Ten (10) years plus recent experience in Deputy Technical Manager role** **within the Oil and Gas Industry. - MECHANICAL (Strong in Interface with Vendors and with also Home Office Engineering experience) **Contact**: Tanya De Bruyn **“We are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
