Junior Buyer

Greener Alternative Solutions (Pty) Ltd is in search of a junior buyer to fall part of a dynamic young and vibrant team. The company is involved in the power generation and earthmoving industry with a Major Contributor being Perkins Diesel Engine Parts.

**Duties**:

- Management of inventory interlinking with the Warehouse & Stock Controlling Manager
- Supplier relationship management, including price/contract negotiations;
- Issuing of purchase orders, following up and expediting placed orders;
- Maintenance of the ERP System (Sage, Paladium)
- Tracking of vendor non-conformances, vendor specification sheets and other related documents;
- Internal audits and updating of records

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a parts relative business or supply chain intensive environment will be crucial
- Knowledge of procurement processes, negotiation, mathematical and financial analysis skills
- Ms Office skills particularly Excel (Not Negotiable), Sage and Paladium will be an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills, high energy, self-motivated and self-driven, resilience
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage large volumes of data in a structured and detailed manner, organized and methodical

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: R5 000,00 - R7 000,00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)
