- Honours or Post Graduate qualification in Engineering, Financial Engineering and/or Computer Science
- 5 - 8 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which 2 - 3 years ideally at management level
- Preference is +10 years relevant experience
- 10+ years’ experience in Capital Markets in a variety of technical roles preferably within an e-trading environment
- Strong understanding of multiple asset classes and how they are traded as well as the trade lifecycle.
- Good understanding of integration, messaging (FIX protocol), architecture and project management.
- Strong technical background, networking knowledge beneficial.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of object oriented programming, data structures and algorithms
- Solid understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms
- Experience in complete development lifecycle and designing global systems using Agile Methodology
- Experience in the UI/UX technologies will be a plus
- Have a good understanding of the exchange trading and electronic OTC environment for Capital Markets from both a business, process and technical perspective
- Previous exposure to Reuters, Bloomberg, FIX, ECN’s and LP’s advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge of high volume low latency messaging and trading environments
