**Your responsibilities include**:

- Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment
- Attend and conduct Safety meeting
- Conducts and participate in Risk assessments
- Execute welding, maintenance, and steel work repairs
- Comply to environmental requirements
- Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
- Works in a sequence that prioritises work requirements
- Completing job cards and description of work (PM’s)
- Performing work to the required standards and specifications

This role is in the Canopy Build, Repair and Maintenance Department reporting to the Business Unit Supervisor.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 or Technical N2 Trade Specific
- Recognised Coded Welder Certificate
- Certified Competency as a Coded Welder - CO2 and Argon welding
- Driver’s licence - code 10 will be beneficial

**To be successful, you should have the following experience**:

- Experience in Boiler making will be advantageous
- Experience in a Processing Plant will be advantageous
- Experience at Working at Heights

**Additional Information**
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be familiar with risk assessment procedures
- Basic Computer Literacy skills
- Driver’s license code 08
- You will be required to work overtime and do standby duties when required
- If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- in a similar position: 2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Coded Welder Certificate (preferred)
- Certified Competency as a Coded Welder - CO2 and Argon (preferred)
- Driver’s license - code 10 will be beneficial (preferred)
