We’re on the lookout for a **Commercial Underwriter** to join our dynamic and growing team This hybrid role is based in **Lynnwood, Pretoria**, and offers the opportunity to work with leading insurers and support our Senior Underwriters and Administrators in executing binder mandates.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a key role in supporting the team by:

- Providing quotes on new business and renewal terms on existing portfolios
- Managing post-loss actions, policy amendments, and corrective underwriting
- Screening and assessing risks in line with binder agreements and underwriting protocols
- Working closely with administrators, brokers, and insurers to deliver exceptional service
- Contributing to risk management by identifying underwriting risks and managing them proactively
- Supporting brokers and consultants with underwriting-related queries

**What We’re Looking For**:
✔️ Experienced: Minimum **3 years in short-term insurance**, with **1+ years in commercial underwriting**
✔️ Qualified: Holds a **Matric**, **RE5**, **FETC Level 4 in Short-Term Insurance**, and is up to date with **FAIS CPD requirements**
✔️ Skilled: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, solutions-focused, and thrives under pressure
✔️ Collaborative: A strong communicator with a customer-centric mindset and a team player attitude
✔️ Results-Oriented: Understands the balance between underwriting discipline and profitable growth
