**EN - Maternity**

Our client, a private hospital group is looking for an EN - Maternity to work locums at their hospital in the Pretoria, Gauteng region.

**Qualification & Requirements;**
- Qualification as Enrolled Nurse;
- Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC);
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maternity;
- Must have private hospital experience; and
- Excellent communication skills

**Key Areas;**
- Provide maternity nurse services to pregnant women;
- Support mothers and their newborns through maternity nursing care;
- Monitor vital signs including pulse rate and blood pressure while in labour;
- Assist obstetricians in providing maternity nursing care to mothers and their babies;
- Screen and monitor new mothers and their babies’ health while under maternity nursing care;
- Instruct and counsel new mothers in handling and breastfeeding their babies;
- Assist new mothers in bathing, changing and feeding of their babies;
- Answer and resolve maternity related issues with pregnant women; and
- Ensure the highest degree of standards in maternity nurse activities

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
