**Role Responsibilities**:
Providing portfolio analytics services to our discretionary managed clients, with an emphasis on unlisted investments.

Monitor and evaluate the managers responsible for the portfolios, working alongside the portfolio management and investment research teams.

Ensure that drawdown schedules for the unlisted portion of assets are closely monitored and updated to ensure efficient and effective management of assets.

Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of the exposures and risks associated with these portfolios.

Assist in constructing client portfolios and products that cater to different types of investment objectives.

Provide support to the Portfolio Management team by generating monthly and quarterly reports, which involve data retrieval, validation, reconciliation, analysis, and preparation.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market, the associated risks and tools, as well as the systems used to manage these portfolios.

Perform data interrogation and analysis to generate both client and internal reports.

Check reports generated by other analysts, interpret and analyse the results, and submit reports to clients.

Generate presentations for clients to report back and communicate with them to respond to queries.

Improve processes by automating efforts to improve efficiencies and perform ad hoc analyses.

Manually recalculate some statistics to ensure accuracy.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
BCom, B.Bus.Sci, BSc Degree (Maths, Accounting, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Physics) or equivalent.

Required to be a FAIS compliant representative or working towards obtaining the relevant qualification.

**Relevant Skills / Experience**:
2 - 5 years of experience in financial services.

Preferably some experience in unlisted investments.

Experience safeguarding the integrity of sensitive client data.

Experience working with large quantities of portfolio and market data.

Understanding of portfolio and instrument level information.

Strong analytical skills.

Communicates clearly and politely, both verbally and in writing.

Uses initiative, is proactive and possesses problem solving skills.

Willing to put in long hours when needed.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
