Credit Controller

A well-established import and distribution company in the FMCG environment requires the services of an experienced credit controller to join our finance department based in Airport Industria, Cape Town.
The role will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts owed to the company, ensuring timely payments, and minimizing bad debts. We are looking for a proactive, goal-driven credit controller to become part of our dynamic team.
This is a Monday-to-Friday office-based role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the full spectrum of credit control.
- Monthly Statements
- Reconciliations
- Debt collecting
- Maintain Debtors accounts - Customers range from independent to retailers.
- Investigate and resolve queries within the specified time frame.
- Maintain company credit policy and procedures.
- Familiar with Invoice discounting & Credit Insurance (CGIC)
- Managing Credit Risks & Bad debts
- Accounts Receivable reporting (Internal & external stake holders)
- Customer Master Data Maintenance
- Accurate Claims, Rebates & Discount processing
- Stakeholder collaboration: Maintain relationships with internal teams and external customers to enhance efficiency.
- Proficient administration, including filing and processing
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Credit Management 1&2 Certificate or Diploma
- 5+ proven years’ FMCG experience (Shoprite Checkers, Pick ‘n Pay etc.)
- Computer Literacy - Microsoft Office / Intermediate Excel skills
- Acumatica or similar ERP
