Additionally, we also have a dedicated team of quantitative financial specialists working on automated trading strategies using advanced machine learning and other data techniques.

We are looking for a **Data Scientist or Data Analyst** who will own the Product Analytics area. As a Product Data Scientist, you will form part of the product analytics team within the Product department of Invictus Capital. The product team currently consists of Product Managers, Designers and Product Data Scientists.

You will own the engineering analytics service and will therefore be responsible for its codebase. You will be using product analytics tools such as Segment, Fullstory and Mixpanel for collecting and analysing web and blockchain data.

It is key that you have attention to detail because data cleaning and data processing is roughly 80% of any data science job. This role entails working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and often on multiple projects at the same time. It is therefore essential that you can communicate effectively and decisively with technical and non-technical audiences.

**Technical job description**:
Your duties will include all aspects of the role of Product Data Scientist/Analyst which includes but is not limited to:

- Identifying business needs and proposing new product ideas, balancing the needs of customers and stakeholders
- Collecting, analysing and interpreting customer data originating from our retail investor platform, and analytics sources
- Setting up, owning and maintaining the companies’ data warehouse as the single source of truth for the organisation

**Some examples of deliverables would be**:

- Determining timeline and customer journeys across multiple touch points from first point of attribution to last point of attribution
- Deliver insights on consumer trends and behaviours in the market
- Building customer segments according to behaviours
- Dashboard views for product, sales and marketing
- Provide clear results for ad hoc analytics requests.
- Drive innovation by developing new experimentation methodologies, statistical techniques, and causal-inference approaches that could sharpen our product decision-making process

**What you’ll bring**:

- At least 1 years experience working with a programming language used for data analysis like (Python, R)
- At least 1 years of experience with SQL and databases like PostgreSQL
- Experience using data analysis packages like Python Pandas or R-based packages
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Experience with setting up data warehouses and/or combining datasets from different sources
- At least 1 years of experience using cloud-based systems and tools (GCP: Big query, data studio, cloudsql or their AWS counterparts)
- Experience working with the engineering / technical team to understand the data in the backend
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge is essential
- Expertise using data modeling skills to identify key product trends and new product opportunities
- Ability to design implement, and track core metrics to analyze the performance of our product
- Ability to create visuals, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate your insights
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams

**Qualifications**:
You should have a relevant formal qualification or equivalent knowledge:

- Degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Science, Commerce)
- Data Science Certificates would be advantageous (Coursera, Udacity, edX).
