**Description**:
Reputable company based in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a foreman with a minimum 10 years’ experience on construction sites and must have a good knowledge of general construction.
- Interpretation of architects and engineering drawings
- Setting out of foundations and brickwork
- Knowledge in erecting of concrete formwork and reinforcement
- General earthworks including subbase layer works to engineering specifications
- General knowledge of all wet trades (concrete, brickwork, surface beds, screeds, plaster)
- General knowledge of carpentry (shutters, roofing, ceilings, framing, doors, etc)
- Interpretation of bills of quantities
- Ordering of materials including quantifying such materials
- Knowledge of stagework - Decking, propping and general scaffolding
- Time keeping of site staff
- Progress reporting on contract
- Manage and maintain site instruction paperwork
- Sub-contractor management and time keeping
- Manage snag lists and complete works to hand over stage.
